Rankings are just opinions based on results. As we get to the regions, seeding criteria will take over and will dictate some end results that will contradict these rankings. In the end the best wrestlers will prevail. I would like to wish good luck to every wrestler.

Region II Only

            103

            1) J. Orecchio (Don BoscoPrep)  (5)* District
            2) B. Schneider (Hackensack) (7)
             3) T. Casper (Bergen Catholic) (7)
             4) C. Slater (Ramsey)    (5)
            5) D. Ressler (Pascack Valley) (8)

Until A Miuccio (Old Tappan) wrestles again at 103 he is dropped down to #6. Why? He may not wrestle 103 in Districts. This is only a guess based on the last three weeks.  Ressler has been consistent lately and only losing to Slater in the counties from the above wrestlers. Orecchio flexes his muscle against Buttita (JFK Iselin) who only has two losses one from being pinned by the DB Prep star. Casper is a force at 103 but takes “ one for team” against Nadera in a meeting of the present  #1&#2 teams in the county. Schneider wins but in very little action and Slater takes a 2-0 lump from Botro (Randolph) but dishes a hurting on Klaus from High Point.

112

1) T. Nadera (Paramus) (5)
2) J. Rottingen (Ramsey) (5)
3) D. Della Torre (River Dell) (8)
4) M. Racciopi (Hackensack) (7)
5) D. Albonico (ST Joes) (8)

Della Torre continues to shake off the rust with a 6-3 win over one of Emerson/PK Ridge’s star freshman, S. Schneider.  Nadera beats all comers at 112 including a 9-5 dec. over Albanese (Howell).  Rottingen takes a loss to Grigorian (Fair Lawn) @ 119 but redeems himself with a win over Sheinert (Ramapo) and Timpani (Randolph).  Racciopi and Albonico dec.  Giovanneti (Ridgewood) and Muruevitio (Belleville) respectively.

     119

    1) C. Rankin (Bergenfield) (7)
    2) C. Melde (Bergen Catholic) (7)
    3)  Z. Zottolo (Paramus) (5)
    4)  A. Preefer (Creskill) (8)
    5)  B. Stueban (Northern Highlands)  (5)

Rankin has wrestled the whole Forfeit clan this season (6 fft’s) and he probably wouldn’t mind taking on all the Bye’s as well.  When he does wrestle (usually at 125/130) he dominates. Melde dec. Zottolo in overtime 3-1 in a classic that is sure to be a  re-match down the road.  Preefer counters with a dec. over Caruso @ 125 7-2. Stueban does his job and beats his Montville opponent in dual action.

    125

           1) F. Acosta (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
    2) J. Ortiz (Paramus) (5)
           3) N. Guarriello (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)
           4) R. Giovanetti (RidgeWood)  (6)
            5) F. Caruso (Elmwood Park) (6)

Acosta squeakes out a 2-0 win over Kleban (Seton Hall Prep) in State Sectional action.  Ortiz suffers a 7-5 loss to Emburgia (Monroe) as Caruso drops two to Preefer (see above)  and Waldron (Lyndhurst) 7-4. Giovanetti tag teams the Forfiet brothers with Rankin.

130

1)  N. Alpher (Paramus) (5)
2)  S. McSweeney (Old Tappan) (8)
3) G. Madormo (Ramapo) (5)
4) M. Dickman (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) D. Heitman (Mahwah) (5)

Alpher loses to Shaughnessy (Howell) 2-1 but still goes 2-1 in a quad down south. McSweeney finally gets tested by Caposela (Wayne Valley) but triumphs 7-4.  Madormo, Dickman and Heitman all win. Add S. Pietrantuono to this loaded weight class.

135

1) V. Fava (Elmwood Park) (6)
2) S. Mastrianni (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
3) D. Rehain (Northern Highlands) (5)
4) J. Carriddi (River Dell) (8)
5) J. Alloro (Creskill) (8)

Fava stays unbeaten as Mastrianni takes a lump from Hogan (JFK Iselin) 9-2.    Rehain also loses to Intile (Montville) 6-4.  Carridi wins  against Guariello 13-9 in a wild bout. Good job by Guariello in bumping up.  Alloro gets teched by Fava 18-3 but comes back to win 17-11 against C. Woods (Demerast) in a conservative bout.

140

1) M. Cirello (Paramus) (5)
2) T. Trumbetti (Pascack Hills) (8)
3) A. Kazan B. (Manchester) (5)
4) V. Dimitri (Fair Lawn) (6)
     5) B. Gibbs (Ramapo) (5)

Cirello takes his first loss against Spataro 7-3 in the Paramus/BC dual last week. Trumbetti stays undefeated since the counties with wins over Herget 3-1 and Fernandez.  Kazan, Dimitri and Gibbs stay solid.

                              145

                         1) E. Ajagbe (Bogota/Weehawkin) (7)
                              2) M. Spataro (Bergen Catholic) (7)
                    3) K. Herget (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)
                              4) M. Henrici ( Don Bosco Prep) (5)
                              5) Y. Bussi (Fair Lawn) (6)

Ajagbe and Henrici both do not wrestle and it is slowly becoming reality that Henrici may not compete in Districts. Herget loses to Trumbetti but beats Fernandez. Spataro beats Cirello and I believe this is the weight class he will stay at for his run to AC.  Gordon (Hackensack) losses twice and is replaced by Bussi in the five spot. This is very fluid weight class as wrestlers move in and out . Who will land here for districts?

                   152

       1) B. Moat (Dumont) (7)
       2) V. Kipiani (Ramapo) (5)
       3) D. Murtaugh (Westwood) (8)
       4) K. Switzer (Bergen Catholic) (7)
       5) A. Fernandez (River Dell) (8)

Moat drops a  weight and takes the top spot. Murtaugh should be on the mat in a week and he moves to the three spot as Switzer and Fernandez drop. Tsolakidis (Demerast) loses to R. Walker (Mahwah) and D. Charles (Old Tappan). Kipiani continues to pin (22) and win 26-3 record. The 22 pins is the second most in NJ this year behind 23 for Campolattano (Bound Brook).

160

1) R. Sblendorio (Mahwah) (5)
2) C. Warren (Bergen Catholic) (7)
3) E. Torres (Elmwood Park) (6)
4) A. Mordaga (Paramus) (5)
5) K. Dischino (Waldwick/Midland Park) (5)

Moat drops to 152. Sblendorio is still number one even with the loss last week to Mordaga 1-0. Sblendorio dec. T. McDermott (DBP) 10-5.  Warren bumps up to #2 after realing off nine straight wins. Mordaga shows up at #4 and District 5 spectators benefit as three of the top five are all in the same district.  Seeding…. seeding….seeding. Who takes top seed and avoids a semi final war !  Torres has a quality win over Wagner (Lyndhurst) by major 11-3. Dischino squeaks by Conklin (Lakeland) 7-6 but then runs into a buzzsaw from Secacus, Roesing who beats him by tech fall.

171

1) M. Magaraci (Old Tappan) (8)
2) M. Koury (ST Joes) (8)
3) T. McDermott (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
4) C. Damico (Ramapo) (5)
5) R. Torres (Bergenfield) (7)

Magaraci is another pinning machine with 17 on the year. Koury beats Foxx (ST Peters) 11-5. McDermott dec Selby (Seton Hall) 2-1 and Damico beats K. MacIver (Pascack Valley) 7-1. Torres has a set back in losing to V. Nicoletti (Oakland) 18-12 . Where is the hand control here?

189

1) J. Becker (Bergen Catholic) (7)
2) N. Vetterlein (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
3) B. Wengerter (Creskill) (8)
4) J. Schlett (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) T. Betts (Tenafly) (7)

Betts gets back on the mat and replaces D. Rounds (Mahawah) at #5. Betts has     only one loss (Schlett) and has 17-1 record. No other changes.

215

1) K. Goodall-Reid (Bergenfield) (7)
2) S Galassi (Bergen Catholic) (7)
3) W. Daoud (Hackensack) (7)
4) D. Lewitt (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) T. Hageman (Northern Highlands) (5)

Goodall-Reid takes on the mighty Campolattano (Bound Brook) and loses 5-3.                That the first opponent this year to stay close with Campolattano who is the    returning state champ/ Fargo national champ  and is still undefeated in his career in NJ. Galassi bumps to 285 and defeats Chibane 4-2 to help Bergen Catholic defeat Paramus.

285

1) D. Suarez (New Milford) (7)
2) J. Ceccio (ST Joes) (8)
3) M. Shannon (Old Tappan) (8)
4) Z. Chibane (Paramus) (5)
5) Z. Helewa (Lodi) (6)

Ceccio sits out to nurse a minor injury  while Suarez continues to dominate. Shannon takes a loss to Schlossberg (River Dell) 3-2. Chibane loses to Galassi and Helewa beats Abo (Becton/Wallington) 4-3.

2/1/09

Region II Only

103

       1) J. Orecchio (Don BoscoPrep)  (5)* District
2) B. Schneider (Hackensack) (7)
     3) T. Casper (Bergen Catholic) (7)
       4) C. Slater (Ramsey)    (5)
      5) A. Miuccio (Old Tappan) (8)

A. Miuccio makes an appearance @ 103 with a 14-4 major over DeFuria (Bergenfield) and then gets pinned by Della Torre @ 112 but he stays at five. Orecchio's closest match in January is a 9-2 win over Royle (Jackson). Schneider, Casper and Slater all hold their rankings with wins.

112

1) T. Nadera (Paramus) (5)
2) J. Rottingen (Ramsey) (5)
3) D. Della Torre (River Dell) (8)
4) M. Racciopi (Hackensack) (7)
5) D. Albonico (ST Joes) (8)

Della Torre shows up @ 112 after the two pound allowance with a win over
Thomas (Howell) 5-0 but misses an opportunity at one of the Monteforte      brothers from Cliffside Park while sitting out the match. He slides in at # 3 but      could move up with more      matches at 112. Nadera and Rottingen win and      stay      at 1 & 2. Racciopi beats   Albonico 5-3 and jumps ahead of him.

    119

    1) C. Rankin (Bergenfield) (7)
    2) C. Melde (Bergen Catholic) (7)
    3)  Z. Zottolo (Paramus) (5)
    4)  A. Preefer (Creskill) (8)
    5)  B. Stueban (Northern Highlands)  (5)

Della Torre   goes to 112 and Stueban comes up to the five spot even while taking a loss to Boyle (Rutherford) 10-3. Melde beats Lanno (Southern) 1-0  and Polidore (Queen of Peace) 3-0 for two nice wins and Zottolo goes back to #3 as  the loss to Levandowski (North Hunterdon) was miss reported and was actually a win/pin for Zottolo.

  125

             1) F. Acosta (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
  2) J. Ortiz (Paramus) (5)
             3) N. Guarriello (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)
             4) F. Caruso (Elmwood Park) (6)
             5) R. Giovanetti (RidgeWood)  (6)

No changes. Acosta stays on top. Ortiz beats Z. DiPini (Walkill Valley) who is state ranked @ 119 13-4 as Guariello, Caruso and Giovanetti also continue to win.

130

1)  N. Alpher (Paramus) (5)
2)  S. McSweeney (Old Tappan) (8)
3) G. Madormo (Ramapo) (5)
4) M. Dickman (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) D. Heitman (Mahwah) (5)

This weight class is as tuff as 119. The top three could probably be jumbled and and still be justified. Region  qtrs/semis are going to be interesting. Depends on seeding as Dickman is a freshman and McSweeney may not have any NJSIAA criteria beside his win over Heitman. Madormo takes a tough loss to Brown (Rutherford) 9-7 while Alpher beats Heitman 3-1 and tops it off with a win against DeQuinzio (Hasbrouck Heights) 4-1 in ot. McSweeney and Dickman just keep winning.

135

1) V. Fava (Elmwood Park) (6)
2) S. Mastrianni (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
3) D. Rehain (Northern Highlands) (5)
4) J. Carriddi (River Dell) (8)
5) J. Alloro (Creskill) (8)

No changes. Fava is a force at whatever weight he goes. Mastrianni is young but                     until he is beaten locally he is the #2.  He pick ups a nice win against another             super frosh  D. Winston (Jackson) 7-5 in ot.  Rehain dominates another quality             freshman M. Paskas (Rutherford) 10-4. Carriddi  beats McCann (Old Tappan)             9-4 and Alloro goes untested.

140

  1) M. Cirello (Paramus) (5)
    2) T. Trumbetti (Pascack Hills) (8)
     3) A. Kazan B. (Manchester) (5)
        4) V. Dimitri (Fair Lawn) (6)
   5) B. Gibbs (Ramapo) (5)

No changes. Cirello beats Murphy (Walkill Valley) 1-0 for a nice win                                 Trumbetti edges Herget 3-1  while bumping to 152. Kazan wins the  Passaic County title with a 12-4 major over Markowski (Wayne Valley)                           and Dimitri pins his Old Tappan opponent. Gibbs suffers a tough loss to                           Safagar (Ridgefield Park) 11-8 @ 145 lbs.

145

         1) E. Ajagbe (Bogota/Weehawkin) (7)
    2) M. Spataro (Bergen Catholic) (7)
    3) K. Herget (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)
    4) M. Henrici ( Don Bosco Prep) (5)
    5) J. Gordon (Hackensack) (7)

One change. Herget jumps Henrici because of Henrici's  prolonged injury.                        Spataro only has two matches @ 145  one being a loss by pin to  Miele                        (Southern). He wrestled twice @ 152 beating two elite wrestlers , Brady                        (Eastern) and Pencook (Cinnimanson ) 7-3 / 7-4 as  Switzer sat them out.                        Henrici should be back by districts and holds the three spot. . Herget beats                        Tsolakidis 9-6 and Gordon stays solid.

152

1) K. Switzer (Bergen Catholic) (7)
2) V. Kipiani (Ramapo) (5)
3) A. Fernandez (River Dell) (8)
4) N. Tsolakidis (Demerast) (8))
5) D. Murtaugh (Westwood) (8)
5
D. Murtaugh (Westwood)  should also be back for districts but with so much inactivity he drops to #5. Switzer stays on top for now but how many dual meets is he going to miss? Kipiani and Fernandez move up and Tsolakidis moves down with the loss to Herget.

160

1) R. Sblendorio (Mahwah) (5)
2) B. Moat (Dumont) (7)
3) C. Warren (Bergen Catholic) (7)
4) E. Torres (Elmwood Park) (6)
5) K. Dischino (Waldwick/Midland Park) (5)

No changes. If there were more head to heads we could better gauge this weight. Sblendorio lossses to A. Mordaga 1-0  @ 171 to muddy the picture but not enough to knock him off. Everybody else keeps winning.

171

1) M. Magaraci (Old Tappan) (8)
2) M. Koury (ST Joes) (8)
3) T. McDermott (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
4) C. Damico (Ramapo) (5)
5) R. Torres (Bergenfield) (7)

No changes.  They are all solid wrestlers and continue to dominate their local competition.

189

1) J. Becker (Bergen Catholic) (7)
2) N. Vetterlein (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
3) B. Wengerter (Creskill) (8)
4) J. Schlett (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) D. Rounds ( Mahwah) (5)

The  word is that Vetterlein is going 189 for districts so he immediately gets ranked # 2. This is tough news for Wengerter and good news for Goodall-Reid. Becker tech falls Case (Southern) 24-9 in out of county action. T. Betts (Tenafly) drops out of the rankings with Vetterlein coming in.

215

1) K. Goodall-Reid (Bergenfield) (7)
2) S Galassi (Bergen Catholic) (7)
3) W. Daoud (Hackensack) (7)
4) D. Lewitt (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) T. Hageman (Northern Highlands) (5)

Vetterlein moves to 189 so everybody moves up and Hageman drops in the five spot. Goodall-Reid bumps to 285 and beats Shannon 5-2.  Daoud loses to   P. McCue (St Joes) 3-2 . This rattles the 3 / 4 spot but doesn't change it.

285

1) D. Suarez (New Milford) (7)
2) J. Ceccio (ST Joes) (8)
3) M. Shannon (Old Tappan) (8)
4) Z. Chibane (Paramus) (5)
5) Z. Helewa (Lodi) (6)

Ceccio beats Helewa 8-5 while Shannon drops a  5-2 dec. to Goodall-Reid who bumped up to face him. The ranking of Suarez over Ceccio is still a gut feeling even though Ceccio beat him in the BCCA finals.

No changes to the top 5. Still waiting to see if A. Miuccio makes it back to this weight class. With the two pound allowance we should know soon enough. D. Ressler (Pascack Valley) solidifies his position in line to take the 5th spot with recent wins over Shwartz (Emerson/Park Ridge) and Alloro (Creskill). Orecchio, Slater and Casper continue to win.

112

1) T. Nadera (Paramus) (5)
2) J. Rottingen (Ramsey) (5)
3) D. Albonico (ST Joes) (8)
4) M. Racciopi (Hackensack) (7)
5) S. Schneider (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)

With an upcoming dual between St Joes and Hackensack we could see a change              in the 3-4  rankings. Nadera just edges Albonico 2-1 in saturday's dual match.           Rottingen bumps to 119 & 125 and stays victorious and Schneider gets           respect by receiving forfeits. Racciopi drops close 5-4 dec. to Ferinde (Nutley)

    119

    1) C. Rankin (Bergenfield) (7)
    2) C. Melde (Bergen Catholic) (7)
    3)  A. Preefer (Creskill) (8)
    4) Z. Zottolo (Paramus) (5)
    5) D. Della Torre (River Dell) (8)

Della Torre finally gets healthy and records a couple pins. He bumps Stueban(Northern Highlands) down to the 6th spot. With Gregorian (Fair Lawn), Martin (Teaneck) and Jacobsen (Saddle Brook) this weight class is loaded! Zottolo drops a spot after being pinned by Levandowski (North Hunterdon). Preefer continues to win.

  125

             1) F. Acosta (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
      2) J. Ortiz (Paramus) (5)
             3) N. Guarriello (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)
             4) F. Caruso (Elmwood Park) (6)
             5) R. Giovanetti (RidgeWood)  (6)

No changes. Acosta stays on top even though he gets caught and pinned by Huxford (Jackson) on saturday. Ortiz, Guariello, Caruso and Giovanetti all win. Caruso has been wrestling 130 and if he stays there we could see a change in this ranking.

130

1) G. Madormo (Ramapo) (5)
2) N. Alpher (Paramus) (5)
3) S. McSweeney (Old Tappan) (8)
4) M. Dickman (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
5) D. Heitman (Mahwah) (5)

Okay.......  McSweeney drops in to the 3 rd spot after a nice first week win over Heitman 13-7. McSweeney is a transfer  from Peddie who came up thru the Old Tappan system. Barahona (Waldwick/Midland Park) drops down and out of the rankings. Alpher picks up a great win over Chauncey (Bloomfield) at 135 and keeps his number two ranking.  Dickman drops but only because of McSweeney.

135

1) V. Fava (Elmwood Park) (6)
2) S. Mastrianni (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
3) D. Rehain (Northern Highlands) (5)
4) J. Carriddi (River Dell) (8)
5) J. Alloro (Creskill) (8)

Fava takes the top spot and moves everybody down one. Fava pins Kazan from    Manchester in one of his first matches back. Another name to watch out for is   N. Gnade (Hawthorne). He doesn't seem to lose much and may surprise someone from the top 5. Mastrianni, Rehain and Alloro keep chuggin' along while        Carriddi tries to right the ship after a tough outing against Fort Lee.

140

1) M. Cirello (Paramus) (5)
2) T. Trumbetti (Pascack Hills) (8)
3) A. Kazan B. (Manchester) (5)
4) V. Dimitri (Fair Lawn) (6)
        5) B. Gibbs (Ramapo) (5)

No changes even though Kazan lost to Fava. Kazan is confirmed at this   weight for Districts. Does Trumbetti stay here or go 145? He always    wrestles up so it is hard to say. Except for Kazan all the above keep   winning.

145

      1) E. Ajagbe (Bogota/Weehawkin) (7)
    2) M. Spataro (Bergen Catholic) (7)
    3) M. Henrici (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
    4) K. Herget (Emerson/Park Ridge) (8)
    5) J. Gordon (Hackensack) (7)

No changes. Spataro only has one match @ 145 so it is not positive that this will be his final weight. There could be a helluv'a wrestle off at BC if he goes back to 152. Henrici is still out and may be out for the remainder of the season. Bakalian (River Dell) will drop in at five if either Spataro or Henrici leave this weight class.

152

1) K. Switzer (Bergen Catholic) (7)
2) W. Tsolakidis (Demerast) (8))
3) V. Kipiani (Ramapo) (5)
4) A. Fernandez (River Dell) (8)
5) K. Gibson (Ridewood) (6)

D. Murtaugh (Westwood)  looks to be out for the season so everyone moves up and Gibson drops in at five. It was toss up between Gibson and Durante (Paramus) but even with limited action Gibson has beat Durante 2-1.

160

1) R. Sblendorio (Mahwah) (5)
2) B. Moat (Dumont) (7)
3) C. Warren (Bergen Catholic) (7)
4) E. Torres (Elmwood Park) (6)
5) K. Dischino (Waldwick/Midland Park) (5)

No changes. This is a very quiet weight class. No more head to heads and everybody keeps winning.

171

1) M. Magaraci (Old Tappan) (8)
2) M. Koury (ST Joes) (8)
3) T. McDermott (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
4) C. Damico (Ramapo) (5)
5) R. Torres (Bergenfield) (7)

Again no changes. McDermott pick up nice wins over  Jackson and Middletown North opponents while Magaraci and Koury pin consistently.

189

1) J. Becker (Bergen Catholic) (7)
2) B. Wengerter (Creskill) (8)
3) J. Schlett (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)
4) D. Rounds ( Mahwah) (5)
5) T. Betts (Tenafly) (7)

K. McIiver (Pascack Valley) drops off the rankings as T. Betts takes his spot. Everyone else stays the same as they continue winning. Vetterlein wrestled twice @  189  ( losses to Newman / Toms River North 4-3)this past weekend and may stay @ 189. If he does he goes to number 2 and everyone below drops.

215

1) N. Vetterlein (Don Bosco Prep) (5)
2) K. Goodall-Reid (Bergenfield) (7)
3) S Galassi (Bergen Catholic) (7)
4) W. Daoud (Hackensack) (7)
5) D. Lewitt (Glen Rock/Saddle Brook) (6)

With no head to heads there are no changes.

285

1) D. Suarez (New Milford) (7)
2) J. Ceccio (ST Joes) (8)
3) M. Shannon (Old Tappan) (8)
4) Z. Chibane (Paramus) (5)
5) Z. Helewa (Lodi) (6)

1/18/09
Region II Only

103

1) J. Orechio (DBP)  (5)* District
2) B. Schneider (H) (7)
3) T. Casper (BC) (7)
4) C. Slater (R)         (5)
5) A. Miuccio (OT) (8)

•No changes to the top 5 but some recent results could affect the 5th spot if A. Miuccio  has moved out of the 103 class. Looking to take over in the 5th     are D. Ressler (PV),  B. Schwartz (E/PR) and J. Alloro who with A. Miuccio are all in D 8. Only time will tell.

112

1) T. Nadera (P) (5)
2) J. Rottingen (R) (5)
3) D. Albonico (ST J) (8)
4) M. Racciopi (H) (7)
5) S. Schneider (E/PR) (8)

No changes. Nadera keeps rolling, Rottingen takes a tough 1-0 loss to A. Preefer @ 119, Racciopi drops a 3-0 dec. to Lantz from Bloomfield and Schneider pins Laurice from Indian Hills.

119

1) C. Rankin (B) (7)
2) C. Melde (BC) (7)
3) Z. Zottolo (P) (5)
4) A. Preefer (C) (8)
5) B. Stueban (NH) (5)

No changes. Rankin who consistently takes fft's drops a decision @ 125 to R. Giovanetti from Ridgewood. Melde keeps winning in and out of state as does Zottolo as BC and P travel for better competition.

125

1) F. Acosta (DBP) (5)
2) J. Ortiz (P) (5)
3) N. Guarriello (E/PR) (8)
4) F. Caruso (EP) (6)
5) R. Giovanetti (RW)  (6)

Giovanetti moves into the 5th spot with a nice win over Rankin 9-6.  Caruso has been out and could be dropped from the rankings soon if still inactive. Demarzo is dropped after a loss to Nacco (Ramapo).

130

1) G. Madormo (Ra) (5)
2) N. Alpher (P) (5)
3) M. Dickman (GR/SB) (6)
4) D. Heitman (M)  (5)
5) P. Barahona (W/MP) (5)

Heitman drops to 130 and drops into the 4th spot. Heitman beats Altano (PH) by fall in this weeks dual action. Alpher drops a tough 5-1 dec. to Steverly (Delaware Valley) who is state caliber so  this doesn't affect his ranking. Does Fava or one of the Pietruanno brothers drop into this weight after their 30 day sit? How about McSweeney from Old Tappan. This weight could change three times a week with the talent possibly coming in.

135

1) S. Mastrianni (DBP) (5)
2) D. Rehain (NH) (5)
3) J. Carriddi (RD) (8)
4) J. Alloro (C) (8)
5) J. Bogosian (OT) (8)

Heitman jumps to 130 and Bogosian jumps in. If Fava comes out @ 135 then he will take the top spot and move everybody down a peg.

140

1) M. Cirello (P) (5)
2) T. Trumbetti (PH) (8)
3) A. Kazan B. (Ma) (5)
4) V. Dimitri (FL) (6)
5) B. Gibbs (Ra) (5)

Dimitri picks up  a nice win over Gibbs 7-3 to jump to the 4 spot. Dimtri takes a loss to                                                                 Montero from Hackensack 7-3 but it is not enough to bump him off the 4 spot with the             win over Gibbs. Is Kazan a 140 lber? He has been wrestling 145 and if he stays there             everybody bumps up  a spot.

           145

1) E. Ajagbe (B/W) (7)
2) M. Spataro (BC) (7)
3) M. Henrici (DBP) (5)
4) K. Herget (E/PR) (8)
5) J. Gordon (H) (7)

With Spataro dropping down to 145 he takes the 2 spot. But will he stay at that weight? Henrici is hurting and that could affect the rankings down the line. Jenco        drops off the rankings with a loss to Capizzi from Indian Hills.  Gordon drops to 5        more because off Spataro then the two recent losses to Rosario (Bloomfield) and        Castelano (Jefferson). Bakalian (River Dell) is knocking on the door with a nice        win over Bussi (Fair Lawn) 4-2. Kazan will drop in at the 5 spot if 145 is his        confirmed weight.

152

1) D. Murtaugh (W) (8)
2) K. Switzer (BC) (7)
3) W. Tsolakidis (De) (8))
4)  V. Kipiani (Ra) (5)
5) A. Fernandez (RD) (8)

Lots of changes as Spataro goes to 145 and K. Switzer drops into the 2 spot after finally certifying. Murtaugh takes the top spot but is he coming back? Injuries seem to be up this year to the top wrestlers (ie: Della Tore, Caruso, Henrici, Cannici/ different region). Kipiani makes a jump with a 11-4 win over Fernandez.

160

1) R. Sblendorio (M) (5)
2) B. Moat (D) (7)
3) C. Warren (BC) (7)
4) E. Torres (EP) (6)
5) K. Dischino (W/MP) (5)

171

1) M. Magaraci (OT) (8)
2) M. Koury (ST J) (8)
3) T. McDermott (DBP) (5)
4) C. Damico (Ra) (5)
5) R. Torres (B) (7)

Torres jumps in the rankings after a quality win by pinning Damico in a dual meet last week.  Damico hold his 4 spot by having a quality win over Sblendorio. These two could be reversed but sometimes just one match against each other doesn't tell the whole story.

189

1) J. Becker (BC) (7)
2) B. Wengerter (C) (8)
3) J. Schlett (GR/SB) (6)
4) D. Rounds ( M) (5)
5) K. McGiver (PV) (8)

Makyver has been out of the line up. Another injury? T. Betts (Tenafly) had a nice win over Scrozzo (Queen of Peace) and is knocking on the 5th spots door.

215

1) N. Vetterlein (DBP) (5)
2) K. Goodall-Reid (B) (7)
3) S Galassi (BC) (7)
4) W. Daoud (H) (7)
5) D. Lewitt (GR/SB) (6)

285

1) D. Suarez (NM) (7)
2) J. Ceccio (ST J) (8)
3) M. Shannon (OT) (8)
4) Z. Chibane (P) (5)
5) Z. Helewa (L) (6)

Shannon confirms his ranking with a solid win over Chibane in weekly dual action.

Deepest Weight Class = 119

Most Ranked Wrestlers : Paramus with 7

Ranked Wrestlers by District:

D5= 28,  D6= 8,  D7= 15,  D8= 19

D5 has five #1 & # 2 ranked wrestlers in the same weight class.

D6/0, D7/1, D8/1

Side Notes:

103)  Plenty of good wrestlers in the mix @ 5/6/7 rankings. B. Schwartz (E/PR) has a win over J. Alloro (C) who beat D. Ressler (PV) who has split with A. Muccio (OT). Should be a few ranking changes after this weeks duals.

119) Deepest weight class with Della Tore on the horizon.  Jacobsen (GR/SB) and Martin (Te) are also in the mix.

140) Although Cirello (P) won the BCCA's you could argue that Trumbetti could be the #1 here. Trumbetti always starts slow and finishes strong as he only starts wrestling after fall sports are over.

285) Very solid year for this weight class. Shannon vs Ceccio should be a great District 8 final.
